ROXANNE GRAY
Roxanne Gray (she/her) is a Tejana Salt Lake City-based choreographer, creative director, teaching artist, and curator. She recently completed her MFA in Modern Dance at The University of Utah, where her research centered around the Chicanx experience and borderland identities. Gray is the Founder and Director of 801 Salon, a multidisciplinary art and performance series and nonprofit organization that provides a platform for local artists to show work in nontraditional spaces in Salt Lake City. Gray is also the Founder and Director of PlayGround Dance Project, a choreographic flash incubator that promotes experimental dancemaking within creative limitations. She currently teaches at Westminster University.
Roxanne Gray (ella) es una coreógrafa, directora creativa, artista docente y curadora tejana que reside en Salt Lake City. Recientemente completó su maestría en danza moderna en la Universidad de Utah, donde su investigación se centró en la experiencia chicana y las identidades fronterizas. Gray es la fundadora y directora de 801 Salon, una serie de arte y performance multidisciplinaria y una organización sin fines de lucro que ofrece una plataforma para que los artistas locales muestren su trabajo en espacios no tradicionales en Salt Lake City. Gray también es la fundadora y directora de PlayGround Dance Project, una incubadora de coreografías flash que promueve la creación de danzas experimentales dentro de las limitaciones creativas.
