Corriente Alterna by PROArtes México celebrated two editions as a screendance festival in 2020 and 2021, presented in Mexico, the USA, and Peru. This year, we are thrilled to launch the live edition of Corriente Alterna. This initiative is committed to advancing the visibility of innovative artists from Mexico and Mexican and Latin America descendant in the Western U.S.
Running April 10-21 across venues in Salt Lake City and the Springville Art Museum, we will feature work by local and national Mexican, Chicanx, and Latinx creators, as well as artists traveling from Mexico.
Corriente Alterna de PROArtes México celebró dos ediciones como festival de videodanza en 2020 y 2021, presentándose en México, Estados Unidos y Perú. Este año, estamos encantados de lanzar la edición en vivo de Corriente Alterna. Esta iniciativa está comprometida con promover la visibilidad de artistas innovadores de México y descendientes de mexicanos y latinoamericanos en el oeste de Estados Unidos.
Con programa de 10 al 21 de abril a lo largo ge diferentes espacios de Salt Lake City y el Museo de Arte de Springville, presentaremos el trabajo de creadores locales y nacionales mexicanxs, chicanxs y latinx, así como artistas viajando desde México.

This inaugural digital dance selection was presented initially by the North American Peruvian Cultural Institute in Lima, Peru as part of the virtual programming of the XXXII New Dance International Dance Festival of Lima.
